What is HexSweep.IO and how to play online for free? It's a regular minesweeper. Played exactly the same, with completely the same rules, just drawn differently. The mechanics are the same as minesweeper. It is tuned to play both on PC, where the player has a mouse, and on a tablet/mobile phone, where taps or long taps (presses) are used to replace mouse functionality. This is very convenient and advantageous as a large part of other IO games are not tuned for mouseless devices. What will you do to successfully play this free thing online? It has very simple rules: • you press the cell on the field with the left click (or do a quick touch, when playing without a mouse) • if this cell does not contain the mine, it will show how many cells around it near this cell contains the mine, if any • if there is zero, this cell will open for you forever, and you can click on the next cell • numbers (from 1 to 6) help you understand how many mines are in neighboring cells • you can mark the cell with the mine (for your opinion) with a long press on it (or by clicking the right mouse button). In the well-known old minesweeper, each player had a field of limited size, and he/she was the only one who played. The objective was to clear the entire field, avoiding all mines and opening all cells that do not have mines. But this is a different thing from the classic version. At least, in such attributes: • you don't have the whole field to play, since you share it with other players • when you spawn in a field, you start opening the cells. When you lose, and this will happen anyway, since this is the main principle of the free online IO game player, you reappear on that or another field, available on the server. • You also get score when you play it, but it is calculated a bit. differently.
